We collect information you provide directly, such as your name and email address when you create an account. We also collect usage data automatically, including study session activity, flashcard performance, and feature interactions. This data is essential for powering the spaced-repetition algorithm and personalising your learning experience.
We use your information to provide and improve LangLoop's services, personalise your learning experience using the SM-2 spaced-repetition algorithm, send important service notifications, process billing through our payment partner Clerk, and analyse aggregate usage patterns to improve the platform.
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with trusted service providers necessary to operate LangLoop — including Clerk (authentication and billing), Neon (database infrastructure), and Google (AI features via Gemini). All providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing purposes.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Clerk, and access controls on our infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
